Anglsea is a nice little coastal town, with a nice safe beach for the family. It's about an hour from Geelong, and a nice spot for a snack or lunch, if you drove from Melbourne in on stint.
Lorne - A Great Spot
Lorne is a bit bigger than Anglesea, and has plenty of resturants for a late lunch or dinner. The waterfront is a big park with activities for the kids and is a popular tourist destination for the family.
Stay The Night In Lorne
Lorne has many options for accommodation for the night. The most common are Holiday rentals such as houses and apartments. Best to book ahead to avoid disappoinment. Check out Google to see the key sites. There are some pubs and some restuarants convert into bars after nine pm. During the holidays this is quite a fun town.
Day Two - Drive From Lorne To Appollo Bay
Take your time, beacuse this is one of the most beautiful drives in Australia. Stop often taking lots of photos.
